In 2023 the Hamilton Watch Company donated funds to upgrade the Hamilton Gallery at our Museum at the NAWCC Headquarters in Columbia. On display are many important artifacts from the company’s beginnings in the early 1890’s in Lancaster, PA through their eventual move to Switzerland.   We will take this Zoom opportunity to have Rhett Lucke, a Hamilton enthusiast, narrate and comment on these Museum pieces via Zoom as Alex Simpkins provides real time video of the collection. This is an opportunity for those who have not been to the Museum to see the collection with full commentary and the ability to ask questions.

Bio: Rhett Lucke joined the NAWCC in 1984 and has served as an officer on the Board of Directors since 2019.  In addition to the Hamilton Watch Company, his horological interests include American Pocket Watches, Marine Chronometers, and Chronograph Wrist Watches.  Rhett has contributed to numerous NAWCC Bulletin articles as well as NAWCC Symposium’s in 1996 and 2023. He also led a project with the NAWCC to raise funding for and coordinated scanning of the Hamilton Factory Ledgers, now available online for NAWCC members. Rhett is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, with a B.S. in Engineering. In his professional career and prior to his retirement in 2024, he held a variety of engineering and management positions including management of new product launches for a large manufacturer of off-road equipment.
