About the event

In the 1950s, only a handful of countries could manufacture a watch movement; Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, the USSR, and the United States. But the insane Communist Party leaders of Czechoslovakia thought they could match the best efforts of the west, as well as their masters in the Soviet Union.
